(ANF 31.50, +0.17, +0.54%) , hurt by its strategy not to discount in-season clothing to cater to ever more budget-conscious shoppers, said it's looking closely at all opportunities to cut costs. The company also is examining its underperforming Ruehl chain (which targets an older shopper than the company's namesake and Hollister chains), said Chief Financial Officer Jonathan Ramsden at a Barclays Capital conference Tuesday. "We are looking at everything" for possible cost cuts, Ramsden said. "We (also) need to find a way to make sure that Ruehl doesn't continue to be an open-ended drag on earnings. As we look at where we want to be in the next two or three years, abercrombie and fitch clearly we have to make some not so easy decisions." Outside of the U.S., he said the company can get "significantly accretive international growth."
